Austria 1918 Art Deco Cigarette Case In 900 Silver With Enameled Dressed Woman
Austrian art deco enameled cigarette box.
An impressive and beautiful cigarette case, created in Vienna Austria, during the beginning of the art deco period back in the 1918. It was crafted at the atelier of the silversmiths L&C in solid .900/.999 silver and decorated with the painted enamel image of a semi dressed lady, wearing an exotic hat. Fitted with an invisible hinge, a push security lock and one elastic strip in the interior. Stamped with Austrian silver hallmarks in use between the 1872 to the 1922.
We are certainly sure; the enameling painting work was done at the Louis Kuppenheim workshops at Porzhein.

Hallmarks Stamped with Austrian marks, two times with the A for the city of Vienna, the maker's mark L&C, the enameller's mark, the mark for the warranty of the silver, the assay mark .900, the inventory numbers 048 and signed, "L&C .900 048 AA".
Condition: The overall condition of this case is exceptional Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to any mark. All parts are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and the authenticity.
