Art Deco 1940 Designer Cocktail Ring In 14Kt Gold With 47.24 Cts Blue Star Sapphire
An art-deco gem set cocktail ring.
Beautiful statement ring, created during the transition of the American art deco to the retro periods, circa 1945. This solid bold ring has been crafted with fluted and floriated patterns in solid yellow gold of 14 karats.
Mount in the center, with a round cabochon cut (18 x 18 x 13.5 mm) of a natural color changing grayish-violetish-bluish star sapphire of 47.24 carats.
Has a total weight of 21.5 Grams and the actual size is 7.25, sizeable. The top view measures are 23 mm by 24 mm and raise 20 mm over the finger.
Stamped, with the maker's mark, the hallmark for the gold assay and signed inside a triangle, "JAM 14KT".
Note: The sapphire is natural Burmese (Sri Lanka), not treated or heated in any way and show a great well centered asterism of 6 rays star. It is semi transparent and with normal inclusions
Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The gemstone, is secured in the setting. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
