ART-DECO 1930 Poison Hidden-Box Ring In .925 Sterling Silver With Purple Amethyst
An art-deco poison ring with oval amethyst.
This is a very interesting poison ring created during the Art Deco period in the 1930s. The ring was crafted in Taxco, Mexico, in a Baroque-inspired style and features a concealed compartment, characteristic of traditional poison rings. It is made of solid sterling silver (.925/.999) and is decorated with intricate floriated and twisted patterns. The hidden oval compartment-box is topped with a natural Brazilian light purple amethyst, adding both elegance and visual interest. The lid is fitted with a well-constructed three-barrel hinge, reflecting fine craftsmanship and attention to detail. Overall, the ring has beautiful eye appeal and is a striking example of vintage Taxco silverwork.
