Jeweled Art Deco platinum ring.
An historical piece from the American art deco period, circa 1930. It was carefully crafted in solid .900/.999 platinum and embellished with natural gemstones.
Mount in the center, with four-prongs setting, one round cabochon cut (9.43 x 9.5 x 7.68 mm) of a natural Ceylon blue star sapphire of 5.75 carats. the sapphire is natural, not treated or heated and show a great well centered asterism of 6 rays.
Accented around with 22 calibrated white colorless diamonds, all of them fF/G color, VS-2 clarity, described as follow;
8 old European round cuts, 0.24 carats.
12 French square steps cut, 0.48 carats.
2 Tapered baguettes cuts, 0.12 carats.
Have a total weight of 6.72 grams and the actual size is 5.5, sizable. The top view measures are 14.5 mm by 20.2 mm.
Collateral: This piece is accompanied by the Gia laboratory report number 2215990161, stating is a natural semi0transparent Ceylon star sapphire, not heated.
It is in perfect original condition with absolutely no previous repairs or gemstones replacements.
