*Art Deco American 1920 Platinum Ring with 21.02 Cts in Star Sapphire and Diamonds
Art Deco gem set platinum ring.
A beautiful and historical piece from the American Art-Deco period, circa early 1920. This ring was carefully crafted, with the typical composition from the period, of solid .900/.999 platinum with .100/.999 Iridium and is embellished with very fine natural gemstones.
Mounted in the center in a four-prongs setting, with one round oval cabochon cut (15.3 x 12.5 x 10.3 mm) of a natural white-bluish Ceylon star sapphire of 20.66 carats.
The sapphire is natural Burmese (Sri Lanka), not treated or heated in any way and show a great well centered asterism of 6 rays star.
Accented at the sides in a pave setting, with 18 European round brilliant cut diamonds, 0.36 carats, F color VS-2 clarity.
Have a total weight of 8.95 grams and the actual size is 6.5, sizable.
The top view measures are 15.5 mm by 20.2 mm.
It is in perfect original condition, with absolutely no previous repairs or gemstones replacements.
