ART DECO 1930 Graduated Jadeite Jade Necklace In 14Kt Gold With Diamonds

An art deco graduated jadeite beads necklace.

This is a fabulous long necklace sautoir type, created during the Art Deco period, circa 1930. It is composed by graduated spheres beads of jadeite jade with the original  security box lock crafted in 14 karats white gold. This strand necklace was carefully knotted with a great selection of one-hundred-two vibrant bright green jadeite jade beads, graduated in sizes between 4.0 mm and 6.5 mm. Extremely well matched in translucent green to pastel light green color with moderately strong mottling. The security lock is embellished with five European diamonds. Throughout history, jade has been more highly prized in Asia than any other gemstone. Once considered more precious than gold, jade is believed to possess spiritual and mystical properties.

Jadeite Jade: Stranded with 102 graduated round beads (4 to 6.5 mm) of natural green jadeite jade, with an approximate total weight of about 122.5 carats. The gemstones are from Burmese origin, semi translucent with lovely subtle graduation in color.

Birthstone: Jade for the month of August.

Diamonds: The security lock is mounted with 5 old European rose cuts diamonds, 0.16 carats. G/H color, SI-1 clarity.

Weight: Total of 27.40 Grams, (17.63 Dwt).

Size: Total extended length is 24 Inches (61 Cm), (610 mm).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the karats mark and electronically tested for the assay and warranty of the 14Kt white gold with results as follows, ".585/.999 Au".

Condition: The overall condition of this Jadeite jade necklace is excellent. Beside the little normal wear there is no damage to the gold. All parts are secured and was recently re-stranded. This necklace was carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
