GIA Certified Art Deco 1920 Platinum Wreath Brooch With 6.94 Cts In Diamond And Pailin Sapphires
Magnificent jeweled Art Deco brooch.
A very important and gorgeous piece from the early American art deco period, circa 1920's. This wreath brooch was totally assembled and made with impressive craftmanship in solid .900/.999 platinum with .100/.999 iridium. It is suited, with an horizontal hinged pin bar, with a mechanical security lock and all parts are embellished with exceptional high quality natural gemstones.
This piece is composed of the main body in a circular shape with three movable graduated elements on the right side, which hang freely from a bow.
Mounted in Prongs and bezels, with 61 calibrated European old round cut diamonds, 4.70 carats, G/H/I color, VS/SI clarity
Chanel set, with 16 caliber French rectangular step cut of natural vivid blue sapphires, 2.24 carats. The sapphires are transparent, with great blue color saturation and all the gemstones settings are made up with millegrain finish.
Have a total weight of 14.9 Grams and a measures of 45 mm by 52 mm (1.73 x 2.05 Inches).
Note: Millegrain is a jewelry technique which refers to the textural effect of a close-set line of metal beads that are typically used as a border on the edges or bezels of jewelry.
Note: The blue sapphires from the Pailin region in Cambodia are very rare, actually the mines are exhausted and the only way to found in the today's market is from old stocks or antique jewelry.
