ART-DECO 1920 Cocktail Ring In 18Kt Gold With Chrysoprase, Onyx & Diamonds
An art deco cocktail ring with chrysoprase.
This is a colorful cocktail ring created in America during the Art Deco period, back in the 1920-1925. The ring has been carefully crafted with skyscraper geometric patterns in solid white gold of 18 karats with engraved and chiseled finishes. It is embellished in the center with one gorgeous translucent green chrysoprase and accented at the sides with a great selection of ten earth mined natural gemstones, such diamonds, emeralds and onyxes. The design of this ring is very typical of the Art Deco period, which was manufactured with semi-precious stones in New York City, imitating the geometry of its buildings. This ring shows no signs of use and is considered old new stock, or rather, jewelry that was never sold and was well preserved. The total combined weight of all gemstones is 11.26 carats.
Chrysoprase: Mount on top in a four-prongs setting, with 1 oval fluted cabochon cut (17 x 13 x 7 mm) of a natural translucent green chrysoprase with a weight of about 10.90 carats, (The weight of the chrysoprase was done by calculation formula).
Diamonds: Mounted in bezel settings, with 2 well matched baguette cut of natural diamonds, with a weight of about 0.12 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS clarity.
Emeralds: Mounted in bezel settings, with 4 well matched straight baguettes cut of natural light green emeralds, with a total weight of about 0.24 carats.
Onyx: Mounted in bezel settings, with 4 well matched cabochon baguettes cut of natural black onyxes, with a total weight of about 0.24 carats.
Birthstone: Chrysoprase for the month of May.
Weight: 5.50 grams (3.55 Dwt).
Size: 5.5 and may be resized up or down on special request.
Measure: 25 mm by 20 mm (0.96 x 0.79 Inches) and raise 9 mm over the finger.
Hallmarks: Stamped with mark for the assay of the 18 karats white gold.
