British 1890 Rare Liberty Art And Craft Geometric Necklace In 18Kt Yellow Gold With Coral Cameo
British art & craft necklace in the manner (attributed to) of Archibald Knox.
Beautiful and handsome piece, made in the United Kingdom during the early Art Nouveau-Liberty style and the Art & Crafts periods, circa 1890's. It was carefully crafted, with sleek patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karat, with brushed finish. The mounting has an intricate geometrical design, attached to a a 16.5 inches geometric paper clips chain.
This incredible piece exhibits various artistic styles, which complement each other in a unique way; Art-nouveau, liberty, neo-gothic, art & crafts and we could say a bit of art-deco
Featuring in the center as a main piece, an exceptional carving made of natural Italian salmon-red coral depicting the portrait bust of Flora. The young lady is dressed up facing to the left, with the hair decorated with organics elements.
Have a total weight of 19.2 Grams and the drop part have a measures of 36 mm by 50 mm (1.42 x 1.97 Inches). The chain itself is 16.5 inches (42 Cm).
It was tested for .750/.999 assay, 18 karats gold.
