Spikes geometric clip on earrings designed by Angela Cummings.

Beautiful and very rare pair created by Cummings back in the 1984 in homage to the famous French designer Suzanne BelperronThese pair of geometric clip-on earrings has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with brushed finish and a pair of oval cabochon cut of polished gray hematites. Fitted with hinged French omega backs for fastening clips and the posts for pierced ears can be easily added. 

Almost all of the jewelry work created by Angela Cummings has been inspired by the creations of other iconic and talented 20th century women artists just like her, such as: Georgia O'Keeffe, Jean Arp, Suzanne Belperron and Louise Nevelson.

Weight: Combined of 37.8 grams, (24.23 Dwt).

Measures: 26 mm by 23.5 mm (1.02 x 0.93 inch).

Hallmarks: They are both stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold assay mark and signed in full, "CUMMINGS 1984 18 KT".

Angela Cummings was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.

A very nice and rare collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.

Note: This model also exist in plain gold with platinum, with lapis lazuli and black jade. They were never mass produced, with just a couple pairs made.

Collateral: They are accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of these earrings are excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. They has been carefully inspected to guarantee the pristine condition and the authenticity.
