Pair of Perforations dangle earrings designed by Angela Cummings.

Beautiful sculptural pair, created by Angela Cummings at her goldsmith studio in New York city, back in the 1981. These modernist and bold dangle earrings has been crafted with free-forms holed patterns in solid .925 sterling silver, with polished finish. Fitted at the reverse with comfortable French omega backs for fastening clips. The posts for pierced ears can be easily added.

They was made as a left and right pair with entire the surfaces decorated with multiples graduated patterns of holes resembling the organic texture of a sea-coral.

They have a combined weight of 37.95 Grams and a measures of 50.8 mm by 27 mm (2 x 1.06 Inches).

Stamped with the maker's mark, the hallmark for the assay of the silver and signed in full, "ANGELA CUMMINGS 1981 STERLING".

Angela Cummings was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.

A very nice and rare collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.

Note: Bracelets and necklaces has been also produced in gold and sterling like this one, with this exact patterns.
