This is a very rare and beautiful pair of clips-on earrings created by Angela Cummings at her own atelier in New York City, back in the 1984. These modernist earrings were carefully crafted in oval shapes in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. They are embellished with two gorgeous natural vivid blue lapis lazuli and eighty-eight carvings of white nacre. They are fitted at the reverse with comfortable hinged French omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of gold posts for pierced ears can be easily done.

Lapis lazuli: Mount in bezel settings, with 2 well matched oval cabochon cut (15 x 10 x 5 mm), carved from natural vivid blue lapis lazuli, with a combined weight of about 16 carats.
Nacre: Mount in inlaid settings, with 88 calibrated flat cabochons cut carved from natural white nacre, with a total combined weight of about 8.86 carats.
Birthstone: Lapis Lazuli for the month of September
Weight: 23.20 Grams, (14.90 Dwt).
Measurements: 26 mm by 20 mm by 10 mm (1.02 x 0.79 x 0.40 Inch).
Hallmarks: They are both stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay and warranty of the 18kt yellow gold and signed in full as follows, "©ANGELA CUMMINGS .750".
Angela Cummings
She was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She takes her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business. These earrings are a very nice collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.
