Anchors cufflinks designed by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co.
This is a great pair of toggle chained cufflinks created in New York city at the Jean Schlumberger studios for Tiffany & Co., back in the 1970's. This vintage pair was carefully crafted in the shape of anchors in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with polished and textured finishes and fitted with chains and toggles. The design is very rare, seldom see in the aftermarket and one of the most popular of the Schlumberger's models.

Measurements: 23 mm by 24 mm by 11 mm (0.91 x 0.95 x 0.43 Inches).
Hallmarks: They are both stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay and warranty of the .750/.999 gold and signed in full as follows, "TIFFANY SCHLUMBERGER 18KT".
Jean Schlumberger
He was asked in 1956 by the president of Tiffany & Co. Walter Hovin to begin designing for the firm. He had his own workshop at the company until his retirement in the late 1970's and was eventually made vice president of the company. Schlumberger designs at tiffany were remarkable for their whimsical interpretation of natural forms. He was especially inspired by the sea creatures and others animals. He was an exceptional designer, jeweler and a master enameller.
