SPANISH 1930 Art-Deco Falcon Shaped Claret Wine Jar In Green Cut Glass & Sterling
An art-deco claret wine jar made in Spain.
This is a magnificent jar for claret created in Madrid Spain during the art deco period, back in 1928-30. This oversized massive jar display very well and has been carefully crafted in the shape of a standing falcon with parts made up in solid .925/.999 sterling silver and hand-cut green glass. The sterling parts has been worked out with nice chiseled and textured finished to resemble the bird's feathers. The bird's body is fitted with with two elaborated legs, a push rim and a removable lid in the shape of the falcon's head. Amazing piece with great eye appeal. This should be a great conversation piece in any of your parties.

Hallmarks: All silver parts are stamped with Spanish marks; the pre marks (1934) for the assay and warranty of the .925/.999 silver and signed in full as follows, "MADE IN SPAIN STERLING SILVER .925/000".
Condition: The overall condition of this Claret wine jar is excellent. Beside the little normal wear there is no damage to the silver or the green glass. All parts are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
