This is a miniature scale model of a hand moving cart truck created as a sample in the late 19th century. This antique model is a miniature of the real one, manufactured in Pennsylvania by the American Pulley Co., to be used as a salesman product sample and showed to the potential buyers. The beautiful cart has been masterfully crafted with incredible details and great materials, such; natural oakwood, iron and copper. Small, very early, well-made salesman's sample barrel moving hand card. Has oak handles, cast iron moving wheels and steel braces. Recently cleaned, all original, in very good overall condition, with nice rich surface patina. This so-called adult’s toys are highly collectable and display very well, It is a great conversation piece and neat piece!
History
These kinds of pieces were commonly used in the 19th and 20th centuries, salesman samples were exact duplicates of the larger pieces, showing extensive and important details. They fall into two categories: those that work and those that do not.
