LACLOCHE 1920 Paris Art Deco Enameled Jabot Platinum Diamonds & Lapis Buddha
An art deco jabot attributed to Lacloche Frères.
This is a beautiful and impressive orientalist jabot created in Paris France during the art deco period, back in the 1920. Attributed to be designed by the jewelry house of Lacloche Freres and carefully crafted with parts of solid .850/.999 platinum and white gold of 18 karats. Embellished with applications of black enamel and mounted on top with a figure of a seated Buddha carved from natural Afghani lapis lazuli. Accented with twenty-four European rose cut diamonds. Fitted with a twisted push button to wear in the flap.

Diamonds: Mount in flush millegrain settings, with 24 European rose cut diamonds, with a combined weight of about 0.28 carats, white colorless G color, SI clarity.
Weight: 7.2 Grams, (4.65 Dwt.).
Measurements: 72 mm x 14 mm by 5 mm (2.83 x 0.55 x 0.20 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks, the maker's mark, the marks of the eagle head and the boars head for the assay and warranty of the .850/.999 platinum and the 18Kt gold and the partial serial numbers 79.

Lacloche Frères
From the Belle Époque to the 1960s, the jewelry creations from the Parisian firm Lacloche Frères adorned over four generations of crowned heads, including Queen Victoria of England, the Duchess of Westminster, the kings of Greece and Siam, and Grace Kelly. Founded in Paris in 1901 by three brothers, Lacloche Frères sold jewelry created by the best Parisian workshops, including Strauss Allard Meyer, Verger, Helluin-Matlinger, and Langlois, and was renowned for its elegant designs and exquisite workmanship. Their tiaras, bracelets, pins, clocks, and ladies' accessories (vanities, cigarette cases) embodied the spirit of Art Nouveau and Art Deco, and are some of their best-known pieces.

Condition: The overall condition of this Lacloche Attr. jabot is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the platinum. All parts and the 25 gemstones are secured in the setting. This jabot was carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and the authenticity.
