Liquor flask bottle designed by Gorham.

Very handsome and handy liquor flask bottle, created in America by the silversmiths of Gorham, back in the 1900. This beautiful large liquor flask has been crafted with parts made up in solid sterling silver of .925/.999, with hammered finish, clear glass and brown leather. It is fitted on top with a screwed hinged lid and a cork. This flask was retailed by the Boston based store of Bigelow Kennard & Co.

Bigelow, Kennard & Co.

This was a long-standing Boston-based retail firm, founded by John Bigelow around 1824. It was known for selling high-quality jewelry, clocks, watches, and silverware, and eventually became Bigelow, Kennard & Co. in 1863. The company operated until about 1972, and although the original firm is now defunct, its name and historical significance persist in antiques and collectibles, particularly Boston-area clocks and silverware.
