Bauhaus Germany 1970 Modernist Pendant Brooch In 18Kt Yellow Gold And Steel

A modernist Bauhaus studio pendant-brooch.

Interesting modernist vintage piece, created around the 1970'S in northern Europe, probably Germany, Austria or Switzerland.

This art-piece is a designer's studio jewelry, with architectural elements, inspired by the Bauhaus artistic movement. Very sleek and elegant, is composed by two elements, one is a perfect circle, made in stainless steel and the overlapping free-form geometric figure, is made of solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with very high polish finish.

The craftmanship is impeccable, excellently well made, with perfect precision. Is suited at the reverse with a double hinged pins and a security lock, to be used as a brooch or a pendant,

Have a total weight of 36.5 grams and a diameter of 55 mm (2.16 inches).

Not signed either not hall marks visible, but has been tested for 18 kt gold (.750/1000). 

Note, This piece have a strong reminiscence to the German architect Mies Van Der Rohe and his motto, "Less is More".
