An art deco Buddha brooch made in Germany.
Exceptional classic piece, created in Germany during the art deco period, back in the 1920. This brooch was carefully crafted in solid .925/.999 sterling silver and mount with a seated enthroned Buddha carved from carnelian. Fitted with a hinged vertical bar and a mechanical safety lock.
Carnelian: Mounted with 2 pieces, carved from natural translucent carnelian. One is a trillion faceted cut and the other, is carved with the image of seated Buddha.
Marcasites: Accented in a flush setting, with 11 faceted cut of marcasites.
Weight: 6.75 Grams, (4.33 Dwt).
Measurements: 58 mm by 15 mm by 5 mm (2.28 x 0.59 x 0.20 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the silver and signed, "STERLING GERMANY".
Collateral: It is accompanied by an antique presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this brooch is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver. All gemstones are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
