Georgian 1820 Enameled Pin Of A Playful Putti In 18Kt Yellow Gold With European Diamonds
Magnificent piece from the Georgian Period.
An antique stick pin brooch, created in the United Kingdom between the kingdoms of George III (1760-1820) and George IV (1820-1830) circa 1820's. Carefully crafted in high karats yellow gold (18-19 Kt) with silver top settings for the diamonds.
Is embellished, with an oval piece, decorated with applications of enamels, depicting a dressed young putti holding with the hands, a blue ribbon and a natural white pearl.
Accented around, with 12 prongs settings that are holding old European cuts diamonds, with an estimate of 0.60 Ctw.
The total weight of this piece is 7.2 grams and have a measures of 82 mm by 18 mm (3.28 x 0.70 inches).
Note: most probably the purpose was a memento for the birth of a boy, since have the blue ribbon.
Collateral: It is in great pristine condition and is accompanied by the original antique period box.
Condition: The overall condition of this pin is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold or the enamel. All the gemstones, are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
