Belle epoque desk clock designed by Cartier.

A very rare and magnificent round desk clock, created in Paris France by the house of Cartier, during the Edwardian Belle Epoque period, back in the 1910. This stunning piece has been designed with neoclassic French patterns and carefully crafted with parts made up in yellow gold of 18 karats, silver, gilt and platinum.

It is mounted in a silver retractable easel back stand and is embellished with applications of vivid light teal color enamel over a linear guilloche ground. The borders are accented with a linear frame of white enamel and pearled dots around the dial's frame.

Movement: Mechanical 8 days, manual winding and sets from the back case.

Dial: White porcelain enamel with golden batons for the seconds, with Breguet style black Arabic numerals and platinum hands with rose cut diamonds. Inscribed, Cartier.

Diamonds: The platinum hands are encrusted, with 8 calibrated Old European rose cuts diamonds, 0.25 carats, F color, VS-2 clarity

Weight: 233.95 Grams, (149.97 Dwt).

Measurements: Diameter of 66 mm and a width of 12 mm (2.60 x 0.47 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks, the mark for the assay and warranty of the silver and gold, the maker's mark EB inside a lozange cartouche associated to the workshop of Eugène Bako, the case numbers, the serial numbers and signed, "CARTIER 154 102896".
