Carlo Weingrill Roma Modernist Sautoir Necklace In 18Kt White Gold With Carved Ebony Wood

Beautiful and elegant sleek piece from Vaid, created in Roma Italy at the jewelry atelier of Carlo Weingrill back in the 1990's. This modernist bold long necklace sautoir has been crafted in solid white gold of 18 karats, with very high polished finish. The design is composed by 44 oval tubular links embellished with carvings from natural rosewood. One of the gold link at the end is suited with a discrete hinged security push lock. 

Is pretty heavy and large, with a total weight of 137.7 Grams and a lenght of 36 Inches (91.5 Cm). The width measure is 15 mm (0.59 Inch).

Stamped, with the maker's mark associated to Carlo Weingrill and the Italian hallmark for the gold assay, "750 *15VE *214ROMA".

Carlo Weingrill, born in Verona, Italy, in 1856. At the age of just eleven, he began to be an apprenticeship in a local goldsmith’s shop. When he completed his training at the age of 22, he open his own factory in Verona in 1879. Since is today an expression of the Weingrill Family which, from 1879, is following the tradition of artisanal production of the most recognized and imitated piece of Jewelry, presenting exclusive items, elegant, solid that you can wear every time and everywhere, warranting a reliable, punctual and careful assistance to the specific request of customers and market.
