Touch tip petrol Pre lighter made in Austria.

A stunning highly collectable piece, created in Vienna Austria in the late 19th century, circa 1872. This is a petrol touch tip crafted as a bottle in solid .900/.999 sterling silver, Fitted with a screwed lid with the iron touch tip. Can be still used and should be a great conversation piece and a great gift for a person that have everything.

Weight: 38.50 Grams, (24.68 Dwt).

Measurements: 55 mm by 31 mm by 9 mm (2.17 x 1.22 x 0.35 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with Imperial Austrian-Hungarian marks TCW; the double head eagle mark; the mark 2A for the .900 assay and the city of Vienna, the maker's monogram mark, the mark for the assay of the silver and signed with the monogram "TCW".

Note: The maker's mark of TCW, is mostly found at the bottom of the Taifun Austrian lighters, we are not sure if they are related as the same company owners or they was the fabrication workshop.

Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

ConditionThe overall condition of this piece is very good. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver. All parts are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
