ART-DECO 1930 NYC Allegorical Sculpture of Industry In Gilt Bronze & Black Marble
An allegorical sculpture of Industry.
This is an amazing and very attractive sculpture representing the allegory of The industry. The sculpture has been finely crafted during the art deco period, back in 1930's and made in solid bronze with 24 karats gilding. It is mount in a skyscraper style geometric shape base, gorgeously made-up in black marble. The figure of the construction worker is represented by a muscular, semi-naked man holding his work tool of a jackhammer with both hands. This piece is related to the United States Laborers Union.
