Miniature cavalry sword jabot-pin.

Fabulous miniature cavalry sword, made up as a jabot-pin in America during the mid-nineteenth century century, circa 1860. The sword is similar to the ones used by the US military cavalry and has been crafted is solid yellow gold of 14 karats and accented with applications of white hot enamel. The craftsmanship and the level of details is magnificent, the hilt is carved with the head of an imperial eagle and the guard is decorated with an standing eagle holding the North American shield and an olive branch. 

Definitely this luxury piece was designed for an officer to be worn on his dress uniform. Most likely it is related to a military academy like West Point or some guild of former service combatants. It is more Beautiful in real time!.
