Van Cleef & Arpels 1970 Paris by George L'Enfant 18Kt Textured Band With 2.57 Cts Pink Sapphire

Exceptional vintage piece made in Paris France in the atelier of George L'Enfant, circa 1970. This ring was crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, featuring his characteristic and iconic finely woven textured surface.
Mounted on top, in a bezel, with one squared cushion cut (7.5 x 7.5 x 5.2 mm) of a natural vivid pink sapphire of about 2.57 carats. The gemstone have great even color saturation, is transparent and is not heated or treated.
Has a total weight is 14.34 grams and the actual size is 6.75, sizable.
The band, have rounded borders, is very thick and bold, with a top view measures of 12.5 mm by 24.5 mm. The mount raise 5.2 mm over the finger.
Stamped, with very clear French hallmarks; the eagle's head for the assay and guaranty of the 18 kt gold, the maker's maitre lozenge GL associated to George L'Enfant, the unique serial numbers and signed, "VCA .750 FRANCE 5K 902-3".
Note: The atelier of George L'Enfant (1899-2003) was located at 47 rue des Petits-Champs. Ring's by him are very unusual to see in the market
Collateral: They are accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The Gemstone, is secured in the settings. This ring has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
