*Van Cleef & Arpels rare 18 kt yellow gold ring with 8.35 Cts Cat's eye labradorite
Rare cocktail ring designed by Van Cleef & Arpels.
Gorgeous and elegant vintage piece made at the beginning of the 1970's by the house of Van Cleef & Arpels. It was crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with the entire surface finished with a Florentine patterns.
The top part is embellished with an invisible bezel, that are holding an oval cut cabochon (16 by 12 by 6 mm) of a natural, cat's eye labradorite gemstone, of 8.35 carats. This is a very special gemstone, with an incredible phenomenal effect of chatoyancy and a wonderful optical play of colors.
This ring have a total weight of 16.95 grams and the actual size is 7.75, size able.
The top view measures are 25 mm by 17 mm.
Engraved, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmarks and signed, "VCA 18K 1504177".
Note: Cat's Eye describes a gemstone polished into a cabochon that displays a narrow band of concentrated light going across the width of the stone. This effect, known as chatoyancy, or cat's eye effect, is caused by inclusions of fine, slender parallel mineral fibers in the gemstone that reflect light in a single band
