Very nice vintage pair of clips earrings, created by Tiffany & Co. back in the 1980's. They was crafted with a Trompe-l'œil figure of knots in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. Fitted with posts (Removable) and comfortable hinged French omega backs for fastening clips.

Weight: 22.95 Grams, (14.71 Dwt).

Measurements: 22 mm by 16 mm (0.87 x 0.63 Inches).

Hallmarks: They are both stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "©TIFFANY & CO. 18KT".

Note: Trompe-l'œil, in French for 'deceive the eye'. Is an artistic term for the highly realistic optical illusion of three-dimensional space and objects on a two-dimensional surface. Trompe l'oeil, which is most often associated with painting, tricks the viewer into perceiving painted objects or spaces as real. Forced perspective is a related illusion in architecture.
