Domino earrings designed by Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co.
This unusual domino pair of earrings was part of the Tiffany & Co. collection from the years of 1975 to 1978. They was crafted in solid 18 karats yellow gold and produced in very limited quantities.
The design is rectangular and display the lucky number 7, made of inlaid of natural black jade and white nacre.
Suited at the reverse, with omega backs for fastening clips. The post options for pierced ears can be easily added.
The total weight of this pair is 18.2 grams and have a measures of 29 mm by 16 mm (1.14 by 0.63 Inches).
Stamped with the hallmarks; "T & Co. 18 Kt".
Angela Cummings was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.
A very nice and rare collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.
Note: Bracelets, rings and pendants has been also produced with the same domino pattern.
