Pair of earrings designed by Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co.

Very rare and iconic pair, created in New York city at the Tiffany Studios by Angela Cummings, back in the 1977. These rare earrings has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. They are fitted with French omega backs for fastening clips and the posts option for pierced ears can be easily added.

Lapis Lazuli: Embellished with multiples free forms carvings of natural blue lapis inlaid in the gold. This positive and negative patterns are one of the most popular design made by Cummings. This model is actually discontinued.

Weight: 19.26 grams (12.34 Dwt.).

Measurements: 23 mm by 18 mm (0.90 x 0.67 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the serial numbers, the gold assay mark and signed, "T&Co. © 18KT 12266". 

Angela Cummings, was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.

Very nice collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.

Condition: The overall condition of this earrings is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All the gemstones are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
