A ring designed by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co.

Elegant piece, created in New York city by Jean Schlumberger at the Tiffany Studios, back in the early 1970's. This rare and unusual ring has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with a plaque in .900/.999 platinum for the setting of the diamonds.

Mount, with a pave of 9 round brilliant cut diamonds, 0.36 carats, F/G color, VS-2 clarity.

Has a total weight of 11.9 Grams and the actual size is 5.25, sizeable. The top view measurements are 14 mm by 22 mm.

Stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmark and signed in full, "TIFFANY & CO. SCHLUMBERGER 18 KT PLAT".

Jean Schlumberger, was asked in 1956 by the president of Tiffany & Co. Walter Hovin to begin designing for the firm. He had his own workshop at the company until his retirement in the late 1970's and was eventually made vice president of the company. Schlumberger design's at tiffany were remarkable for their whimsical interpretation of natural forms. He was especially inspired by the sea creatures and others animals. He was an exceptional designer, jeweler and a master enameller.
