Art deco oval pill box designed by Tiffany & Co.
Very nice oval box, created in New York city at the Tiffany Studios, back in the late 1930's. This box has been crafted in solid .925/.999 sterling silver with an applique in yellow gold of 14 karats. The design is composed by a radiant sun pattern created by incised lines. Fitted with a discrete push button lock and is high polished finish.
Sapphires: Mount in a channel setting, with 3 French squared faceted cut of natural Ceylon blue sapphires with 0.36 carats.
Birthstone: Sapphires for the month of September.
Weight: 61.30 Grams, (39.29 Dwt).
Measurements: 75 mm by 57 mm by16 mm (2.95 x 2.24 x 0.63 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and the silver, the serial number and signed, "TIFFANY & CO. STERLING 14KT 12478".
Collateral: It is accompanied by the designer's presentation jewelry pouch.
Condition: The overall condition of this pill box is exceptional. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver or the gold. The sapphires are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
