A necklace designed by Dan Telleen.

An unusual and very rare piece designed by the American artist and goldsmith Dan Telleen, from Vail, Colorado. Made from a 100 years old antique snake bones and castings in solid yellow gold of 18 karats.

This one-of-a-kind necklace brings found object and organic sculpture together. The look is tribal meets chic. Is suited with a invisible pin closure with a hinged figure 8 for extra security. 

Dan Telleen is renowned for his unusual jewelry, he mixes the exotic with quality workmanship and a stylish eye for wearability. Noted the catch is cleverly hidden and requires dexterity and patience to work, assembled piece by piece with a chain that connect all the elements together with flexibility for strength and durability.

Have a total weight of 103.7 Grams and a length of 21 Inches (53.3 Cm). Have a thickness of 11 mm by 12 mm.

Dan Telleen, is the owner of Karats, a working jewelry store and gallery in Vail Village, in Vail, Colorado. He was raised in Iowa and completed his Art Education studies at Wayne State Teachers College in Nebraska. After teaching for three years in Michigan, Dan relocated to Vail in 1970 and opened a gallery showcasing his artistic jewelry. In 1985 he established Karats, which has become widely know for his distinctive custom jewelry designs.  He often incorporates artifacts from various cultures as well as debris that connect the wearers of his jewelry with past civilizations and the physical elements of the natural world. His work has been featured in selected exhibitions throughout the world in museums and galleries, as well as in the print media.
