*Tiffany & Co. 1970 by Schlumberger 1970 Toi et Moi knots ring in 18 kt textured gold
Beautiful ring designed by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co.
A vintage piece created in New York city back in the 1970's, by this famous jewelry designer. This twisted Toi et Moi knots ring, was crafted in solid 18 karats of textured yellow gold, showing the iconic woven pattern that characterize him.
The actual ring size is 7, size able and have a total weight of 18.2 grams.
The top view measures are 25 mm by 22 mm.
Signed with the hall marks, "TIFFANY & CO. SCHLUMBERGER .750".
In 1956 the president of tiffany & co. Walter Hovin asked Jean Schlumberger to begin designing for the firm. He had his own workshop at the company until his retirement in the late 1970's and was eventually made vice president of the company. Schlumberger design's at tiffany were remarkable for their whimsical interpretation of natural forms. He was especially inspired by the sea creatures and others animals. He was an exceptional designer, jeweler and a master enameller.
