*Tiffany & Co. by Elsa Peretti Touchstone necklace in 18 kt yellow gold with lapis lazuli

Rare Touchstone necklace designed by Elsa Peretti (1940-2021) for Tiffany & Co.

Beautiful minimalist necklace featuring a dramatic pendant, carved from natural blue lapis lazuli. It is mounted in solid 18 karats yellow gold, inlaid into the shapely round disc. The gemstone is perforated and hugged with shimmering the yellow gold to be worn as a slider pendant. It is suspended on a 15.5 inches (39 Cm) links chain.

This is the small version, originally was conceived to be touched during the yoga and individual meditation sessions, this is why the carving is so smooth to the touch.

This piece have a total weight of 7.2  grams and the slider pendant have a diameter of 23 mm (0.90 inch).

Stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmark and signed, "TIFFANY & CO. 18 KT. PERETTI".

The designer Elsa Peretti, joined Tiffany & Co in the 1974 and change the role of diamonds and color gemstones in fashion for the everyday wear and elevating the status of the sterling silver jewelry. mostly using unusual gemstones and materials. all her creations are as modern today as ever.

Note: Since 1990, this model was retired from production. This piece also exist in green and black jade in a larger version.

It is in perfect condition with no chips, dents or cracks, is accompanied by the designer's jewelry box.
