Native American ring designed by Lauri Hakola.

Stunning piece of native American art, created in Santa Fe, New Mexico by the artist jeweler Lauri Hakola, back in the 1990.  This sculptural cocktail ring has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 14 karats with high polished finish. Embellished with natural gemstones mined in the deserts of Santa Fe.

Gemstones: Mounted in bezel and inlaid settings, with 13 fancy cabochon cut, carved from blue turquoises and purple sugilite, with an estimate weight of 9.50 carats.

Birthstone: Sugilite for the month of January and turquoise for December.

Weight: 12.75 Grams, (8.02 Dwt).

Size: 7 sizeable.

Measurements: 35 mm by 24 mm (1.38 x 0.95 Inches) and raise 11 mm over the finger

Hallmarks Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed with inscriptions, "LAURI HAKOLA 1990 SANTA FE NM 14KT".

Lauri Hakola

He was born in Oakland, California in the last months of the World War II. His  grandparents were born in Finland and immigrated to the United States in the early 1900s. He had many interests as a child and learned electronics and worked with his father in his photography darkroom. Was in college but was drafted into the US Army and went to Vietnam. When he returned took up an interest in pottery and began making his living with their hands. Then he added candle making and started a small art and craft store in Wenatchee, Washington. On a trip visit to his brother in Santa Fe, New Mexico, he fell in love with the area. Then he discovered jewelry making and metalsmithing. Over the next 25 years he plied that art until the present actual time, also do painting and photography professionally.

ConditionThe overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All gemstones are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and the authenticity.
