Happy duck brooch designed by Kutchinsky.

Beautiful and unusual piece, created in London, England by the famous jewelry house of Kutchinsky, back in the 1968. This handsome happy duck brooch was crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with highly textured surfaces and suited with a hinged vertical pin to wear as a brooch

Designed as a little happy duck, with eyes, legs and the beat embellished, with applications of yellow and orange hot enamels.

During the 1960s and 1970s Kutchinsky embarked on the idea of ​​creating jewelry with playful motifs of cartoon farm animals. All this in order to meet the great demand among collectors and the new youth trend of the time. Other high jewelry houses of the time such as VCA and Cartier always had this type of jewelry on their counters.

Has a total weight of 22.4 grams and measurements of 49 mm by 29 mm x 19 mm (1.93 x 1.14 x 0.75 inches).

Stamped with British hallmarks for the city of London, the maker's cartouche mark, the letter n for the year of production 1968 and signed, "KUTCHINSKY 18k KLT N ". (Sannitt & Stein),

Kutchinsky, was a jewelry company founded in the 1890 and was always based in London, United Kingdom. They has been very well know jewelry makers, with attention to fine quality, craft and well-made designed pieces, This piece was made in the beginning of the 1970's when the company was more focused on larger pieces right in step with the style of the seventies. As usual made in 18 karats gold this piece is one of the perfect examples of the late Kutchinsky mid-century taste.
