 Jeweled pendant-brooch designed by the Hammerman Brothers.

A vintage piece from the American mid-century period, circa 1960. It was carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with textured finish. Featuring a bale to wear into a chain or necklace and a horizontal hinged pin bar to wear as a brooch.

Is mount, with 5 round sugar-loaf cabochons cuts (7 x7 x 8 mm) of natural blue lapis lazuli, with a combined weight of 12.50 carats.

Embellished, with 16 four-prongs settings holding round brilliants cuts diamonds, 0.48 carats, F/G color, VS-1 clarity

Have a total weight of 29.3 grams and a measures of 55 mm by 55 mm (2.16 x 2.16 inches).

Stamped, with the maker's mark, the designer's logo and the assay hallmarks, "HB 18 KT".

Hammerman Brothers, was Benjamin, Bernard, and Hyman. They were descended from an eastern European family of goldsmiths who excelled in the art of jewelry and watchmaking. Before they serve in the us army in the world war II, the brothers worked in the bowery in New York city, which at that time was a significant diamond center. In 1946 the brothers decided to go into the jewelry business for themselves in New York city.
