French miniature travel clock designed by Charles Hour

Beautiful miniature carriage travel clock, created in Paris France by the horologist Charles Hour for William Ward & Sons company. Crafted in the baroque style in solid bronze ormolu with three tones of gildings. Fitted with retractable handle, a hinged secret door and two beveled glass windows, Extensively decorated with scrolls and foliage and with four semi nudes caryatides at each corner.

Dial: Round in white porcelain with black Arabic numerals, blued steel spade hands and inscription partially erased; WWard & Sons New York & Newport France.

Movement: Mechanical key winding 8 days, 13 jewels. Signed CH. Hour (Charles Hour) France 13 Thirteen jewels, ref 17279.

Weight: 306.50 Grams, (0.31 Kg).

Measurements: 82 mm by 45 mm by 40 mm (3.25 x 1.77 x 1.57 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, Charles Hour and the case number 22.

Collateral: It is accompanied by the original presentation carriage leather case and the key for hand winding.
