Colorful necklace designed by the house of Cartier, back in the late 1970's. This beautiful and youthful piece has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. Fitted with a customized push box lock with a hinged figure 8 for extra safety.
Gemstones: Inserted with 20 round white akoya pearls of 7.75 mm.
Others: Inserted with 19 semi spherical round beads, carved from natural sleeping beauty blue turquoises of 8 mm.

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the gold assay mark, the serial numbers with the order numbers and signed, "CARTIER 18KT .750 30239 30007".

This mine is still active and currently produces copper. The Sleeping Beauty turquoise mine was named after the mountain range where it is located, which from a distance is said to resemble a sleeping woman with her arms crossed. Increased government regulations and mining costs led to the mine's closure in 2012.
