-Cartier 1970 London Easter Egg Box Sautoir Necklace In 18Kt Gold And Black Silk

A very rare, exceptional and inedit convertible necklace pendant, created by the jewelry house of Cartier in London and New York, for the easter of the year 1970. This drop necklace is composed by two pieces; the ovoid box in the shape of a sleek egg and the basket-nest sautoir, braided in black silk. The surprise egg has a lid that can be rotated and opened to reveal any surprise gift inside. This has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with an extremely high polished finish. The contrast of the gold egg and the black silk is terrific and give the impression that the egg is floating.

Weight: 57.75 Grams, (37.01 Dwt).

Size: The inside circumference of the silk cord is 26 Inches (66 Cm). The complete drop including the fringes is 20 inches. 

Measurements: The egg itself is 39 mm by 29 mm (1.53 x 1.14 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed inside the egg, "CARTIER 18KT".

Note: We have never seen this model.

Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All gemstones, are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
