Geometric earrings designed by Angela Cummings.
Very nice and unusual clips-on earrings, created in New York city at the jewelry atelier of Angela cummings back in the 1985. This earrings has been crafted with geometric three dimensional patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with polished finish. Fitted with comfortable French omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of posts for pierced ears can be easily done. Embellished with a nice assortment of natural orange citrines, black jade and translucent carnelian.
Citrine: Mount in a bezel setting, with 2 sugarloaf cabochon cut (8 x 10 x 6 mm) of a natural orange citrine of about 6.86 carats.
Black Jade: Mount with 2 trapezoidal cabochon cut of black jade of about 8 carats.
Carnelian: Mount with 2 trapezoidal cabochon cut of reddish carnelian of about 9 carats.
Birthstone: Citrine for the month of November.
Weight: 23.20 Grams, (14.87 Dwt).
Measurements: 22 mm by 19 mm (0.87 x 0.75 Inches) and raise 13.5 mm.
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "©ANGELA CUMMINGS ,750".
Angela Cummings
She was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.
