An Edwardian Y shaped necklace.

An elegant necklace sans ruffles and ribbons. This beautiful restrained Edwardian necklace, is dating back to the first or second decade of the twentieth century, Circa 1910. It is fashioned in an articulated, elegant 'Y' shape, accented with twinkling rose-cut and bezel-set old mine-cut diamonds, culminating below with a single semi round white river pearl. It was crafted in 18 karats yellow gold with a thin layer of silver for the setting of the diamonds gemstones. Fitted with three movable parts and a chain with the original lobster lock.

Diamonds: Mounted in bezel settings with 2 European round brilliant cut diamonds, with a combined weight of 0.40 carats, F color, VS/SI clarity.

Others: Accented with 12 minors rose cut diamonds, 0.42 carats.

Weight: 5.9 Grams, (10.87 Dwt).

Measurements: Length of 16 Inches (40 Cm). The drop element with the pearl has 1.35 Inches (34 mm).

Note: The Edwardian Jewelry Period was during the King Edward VII, after whom this period of jewelry history is named, reigned over England for only nine years, yet the style of jewelry known as “Edwardian” was created roughly between 1890 and 1920. Edwardian-era rings tend to be larger, opulent pieces, and stacked ring designs were popular. The metal surfaces of the rings were often diamond-encrusted for additional shimmer. Each of these rings is a work of art, showcasing a bygone era of grace, elegance and the royalty the Edwardian era is named for.

Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

ConditionThe overall condition of this necklace is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All gemstones are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
