Vever Paris
Henri Vever directed the family jewelry business, begun in Metz by his grandfather Pierre-Paul Vever (d. 1853). After the capture of Metz in the Franco-Prussian War (1871), the family moved to Luxembourg and then Paris, where the Maison Vever became well established on the Rue de la Paix. Henri Vever (1854-1942) was a prominent French jeweler and art collector, known for his significant contributions to the Art Nouveau and art deco movement and his role in the family's jewelry business, Maison Vever. He is celebrated for his innovative use of enamel and gemstones, often inspired by Japanese art, and for his role in the revival of French jewelry design in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
