Necklace sautoir designed by Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co.

This is an extremely rare modernist necklace sautoir designed by Angela Cummings back in the 1977. This vintage necklace is very sculptural, was crafted at the Tiffany Studios and is composed by a large three-dimensional ovoid element of 32 mm by 24 mm, crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. This main element is mounted and attached to forty-seven ovoidal beads of natural tiger's eye. This sculptural design create a beautiful contrast with the rich gold setting and the gemstones, having a reminiscence to the works created by the French-German artist Jean Arp. We have not track or see any other one with this color combination.

Tiger's Eye: Mounted in inlaid settings, with 2 oval cabochon cuts carved from natural tiger eye quartz of about 20 carats.

Tiger's Eye: Mounted in a knotted cord drill settings, with 47 ovoidal beads (17 x 12 mm) with a total weight of 785 carats.

Weight: 176.95 grams, (113.43 Dwt.).

Length: 36 inches (91.44 Cm).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold, the inventory control numbers and signed in full, "TIFFANY & CO. © 18 KT 1408".
