This is a fabulous and very sophisticate collar-necklace, created in Paris France back in the 1970 by the jewelry house of Chaumet. The massive statement necklace has been crafted with bold twisted elements in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with highly textured finish. The necklace is embellished in the center with one huge cabochon, carved from vivid green malachite and accented with twenty natural white colorless diamonds. This gorgeous collar-necklace is one of a kind piece and will pop out in your neck. As a note we have in our collection the matching earrings and the cocktail ring en suite to this collar necklace. Fitted with concealed boxed lock and a hinged slash for extra safety.
Diamonds: Mounted in flush settings, with 20 graduated round brilliant cuts diamonds, with a total weight of about 1.40 carats, white color F color, VS clarity.
Malachite: Mount in the center in eight-prongs settings, with 1 round cabochon cut (23 x 23 x 10 mm) of a natural vivid green Malachite, with an estimate total weight of about 25 carats.

Measurements: The main dangle part is 66 mm by 38 mm by 13 mm (2.60 x 1.50 x 0.52 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks; the national eagle's head for the assay and guaranty of the 18 kt gold, the maker's maitre cartouche, Ste C. associated to Societe Chaumet, and signed in full as follow, "CHAUMET PARIS".
The house of Chaumet
The French born jeweler, Marie-Etienne Ninot began his career as an assistant court-jeweler to the queen Marie Antoinette. In 1780, he moved to Paris and founded the House of Chaumet, and was appointed as jeweler to emperor Napoleon in 1802. During this period, Ninot became one of the most popular jewelers in Europe, establishing a loyal and continuous prestigious clientele. today the house remains as a luxury jewelry house under the name Chaumet Paris. At the beginning of the modernist era between the end of the 60's and the beginning of the 70's, many jewelry houses, such as Cartier, Kutchinsky and Chaumet experimented with exceptional modernist designs, this brooch is one of them which we consider magnificent and very elegant.
