Art nouveau necklace with enamel pansy flower.

Colorful necklace with a Pansy flower motif, created in America during the Edwardian and the Art Nouveau periods, back in the 1900.. This beautiful graduated necklace is attached to the Pansy flower which has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 14 karats with polished finish and embellished with applications of non glossy powder enamel with a color gradations of purple and white. The enamel work is exceptional and meticulous, far exceeding the details of the fibers and veins of the leaves. It is a little jewel with exquisite and exceptional details, Pansies symbolize a hope that love should not be forgotten. The enameled flower is fitted with a concealed boxed lock which is attached to a graduated necklace of beads carved from natural gemstones such; pink quartz, purple amethysts and black onyxes.

Pink Quartz: Mounted with, 25 faceted beads graduated between 11 to 14 mm and carved from natural pink quartz.

AmethystMounted with, 50 faceted rondels of 6 mm carved from natural purple amethyst.

OnyxMounted with, 19 faceted rondels of 5 mm carved from natural black onyx.

The Edwardian Jewelry

This period was during the King Edward VII, after whom this period of jewelry history is named, reigned over England for only nine years, yet the style of jewelry known as “Edwardian” was created roughly between 1890 and 1920.
