An exceptional jewelry pieces of Italian goldsmith art, created in Milano Italy during the post war and the mid century periods, back in the 1960. This one-of-a-kind parure was designed by Olga Finzi for Arrigo Finzi, a luxury fine gallery and jewelry in Milano named Finzi Arte. Has been carefully crafted with chiseled, brushed and etched patterns in solid rich yellow gold of 18 karats.
The design is composed by a gradation of eleven palm's shaped elements decorated with textured finish. The necklace is fitted with an invisible hook as a security lock and the earrings are fitted with hinged omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of posts for pierced ears can be easily done.
Sapphires: Mount in bezel settings with 11 round faceted cut of natural blue sapphires, 0.66 carats.
Rubies: Mount in bezel settings with 13 marquise faceted cut of natural red rubies, 1.20 carats.
Weight: Combined of 82.95 Grams (53.17 Dwt.).
Size: The lenght of the necklace is 16 Inches (40.64 Cm).
Measurements: The earrings are 18 mm by 26 mm (0.71 x 1.02 Inches).
Hallmarks: Each piece is stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "FINZI .750".
Arrigo Finzi was the only Italian silversmith to be selected to participate in the exhibition "Italy At Work, Her Renaissance In Design Today", promoted by the CNA (Compagnia Nazionale Artigiana) and hosted by twelve important American museums from 1950-1952 to present the best of the decorative arts produced in Italy since the end of the second world war. For years now, his production has also extended to porcelain decorated in pure gold. In 1952 he opens a store of two floors located in Via Manzoni 17 in Milan and in 1954 he created Finzi Arte, with the collaboration of his daughter Olga in the field of high end and only one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces. Arrigo Finzi died in Milan on January 6, 1973.
Olga Finzi, was trained by her father, Arrigo Finzi. She joined his firm in 1960 adding spectacular one-of-a-kind jewelry to his atelier's masterworks in gold and silver. Informed by art and tempered by the Milan design scene of the sixties, the visual narrative of her works is delicate fine-tuned, and brilliantly fashionable.
