-Ancient Rome 100 AD Asian Amulet Seal Necklace in 22Kt Gold With Tiger Eye

Ancient piece from the imperial Roman period, circa 100 AD.

A very rare amulet-seal found at the Roman provinces region in Asia. This piece is carved and smooth polished from a natural agate, which is mount in a pointed elements with a wire, made up in solid yellow gold of 22 karats. Similar examples of this type of cylinders seals are know with carved symbols and inscriptions. Our piece have a length measure of 38 mm and 10 mm at the widest part. Most probably this was part of a bigger piece of jewelry like a necklace or a bracelet.

The carved agate has been re-mounted in a contemporary necklace of tiger eyes beads, with a customized toggle lock system. The ancient piece can be easily removed without affecting the integrity.

Note: Our ancient artifact is in perfect condition with no chips or restored cracks. Great look and nice eye appeal. An ancient piece very hard to find.
