Geometric ring designed by Rey Urban (1929-2015).

Exceptional sculptural piece, created in Denmark by the artist-goldsmith Rey Urban, back in the 1969. This Scandinavian ring is quite rare since it is one of the few pieces that Rey Urban made in gold instead of the traditional sterling silver for which he became very famous. This ring was crafted with impeccable sleek details in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with semi brushed finish and accents in white gold for the setting of the diamonds.

Diamonds: Mount in a flush setting, with 4 European round cut diamonds, .06 carats, F/G color, VS/SI clarity.

Weight: 18.95 grams (12.15 Dwt.).

Size: 7 and may be sized on request.

Measurements: 21 mm to 7 mm (0.63 x 0.28 Inches) and raise 10 mm over the finger

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark RU inside a rectangle cartouche associated to Rey Urban and signed in full, "REY URBAN DENMARK .750 FAUSING ".

Rey Urban

He was born in 1929 in Stockholm. He was a famous Swedish silversmith and designer. Urban began his studies at the specialist department for metalwork at Konstfack Skolan in 1947 and graduated from the school's higher department in 1951, followed by a number of study trips to France, Germany, Brazil and England. He was employed by the body manufacturer Chor in Denmark but mainly worked in his own company Silversmith Rey Urban which he started during his training in 1950. He received his journeyman's certificate in 1953 and master silversmith in 1955. Together with Claës E. Giertta he exhibited at Hantverkshuset in Stockholm and with Lars Fleming at Kalmar museum. He participated almost annually in art and craft exhibitions at the Handicraft House in Stockholm and he was represented in art and craft exhibitions in Oslo, Copenhagen, Helsinki, New York, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Urban created both practical and useful jewelery as well as tightly designed ornaments. Urban's design combined craftsmanship with contemporary techniques. Among his incompatible works are candelabras and other silver objects for about 15 churches in Sweden. Urban is represented at, among others, in the National Museum of Stockholm.

Collateral: This bracelet is accompanied by the designer's presentation jewelry box.
